Introduction
Fallen Condition Focus: We humans fail to keep our promises and so we lack faith in God's ability to keep his. We assume he must be like us.

Sermon Proposition: Since the Father has fulfilled his promise to his people through Jesus and sent his Holy Spirit, we ought to believe in his Son Jesus Christ and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

I. Since the Father has fulfilled his promise to his people through Jesus and sent his Holy Spirit, we ought to repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus (Acts 2:38)

II. Since the Father has fulfilled his promise to his people through Jesus and sent his Holy Spirit, we ought to receive the promised Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38-39)

III. Since the Father has fulfilled his promise to his people through Jesus and sent his Holy Spirit, we ought to continue to trust in our Father's promises in his Word (2 Pet. 3:1-13)
