OPC Announcements for Sunday, December 18, 2022

Christmas Events to Put on Your Calendar:

  • Christmas Caroling - Sunday, December 18, at 6:00 pm. Join in a festive evening of caroling for some of our elderly followed by a time of fellowship and refreshments at the Goble's home. We'll meet at 5:45 pm in the front of the church. See you there!
  • Christmas Eve Candlelight Service - Saturday, December 24, at 6:00 pm. Bring your family and friends to this special service as we celebrate the birth of the Christ child. Cookies and hot cider will be served after the service.
  • Christmas Day Service - Sunday, December 25, at 10:00 am. Make plans to worship with us on Christmas Day.

Sunday Evening Contemporary Worship Service meets every Sunday night at 6:00 pm. Come and join us for contemporary worship music, a message from God's Word, and fellowship. Note: our last Sunday evening service of the year will be on Sunday, December 11. We will begin again in the New Year on Sunday, January 8, 2023.

Saturday morning prayer meeting at 8:30 am. Come and join us in the sanctuary as we pray together for the needs of our church, community, and nation.  

Bible Studies and Small Groups:

  • Youth Group Bible Study: Sunday evenings from 6-7:00 pm. For teens. Meet in Westminster Hall. Contact RoseLee (209-681-5220). Note: This group begins on Sunday, January 8.
  • Men's Prayer and Bible Study: Wednesday mornings from 8-9:00 am. For men. Meet in the church parlor. Contact Pastor Grant (209-862-2661). Note: This small group will begin again on Wednesday, January 4.
  • Westside Women's Fellowship and Bible Study: Monday mornings from 9:30-11:30 am. For women from OPC and other congregations to study God's Word and fellowship. Meet in Westminster Hall. Contact Michelle Wood (209-380-8960). Note: The group is on break for the rest of December. A new Bible Study will begin on Monday, January 9.
  • Tuesday Night Adult Bible Study: Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8:00 pm. For men and women. Bring a Bible and a notebook. Meet in the church parlor. Contact Pastor Grant (209-862-2661). Note: We begin again on Tuesday, January 3.

Orestimba Presbyterian Church has begun an English reading tutoring program for children and youth every Wednesday at 3:30 pm in Westminster Hall. Our vision is to help children and youth develop better English reading skills and through this service share the love of Christ with our community. We are now accepting sign-ups for this program for students grades 1-12. To sign-up, speak to RoseLee or Pastor Grant, call us at the church office 209-862-2661, or come by the office for a registration form.

Red Cross will hold a blood donation drive in Westminster Hall on Friday, January 27, 2023, from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. Please call 1-800-RED-CROSS to make an appointment.
