Introduction
• Fallen Condition Focus: Scripture is clear that we must go through tribulations to enter the kingdom of God. The problem is we don't know how to navigate in times of tribulation, and we can become discouraged, afraid, and can even fallaway from our faith.
• Sermon Proposition: Since the risen Christ comes to us to encourage us in times of tribulation, we must to draw strength from his divine presence
I. Since the risen Christ comes to us to encourage us in times of tribulation, we ought to be strengthened with his abiding peace (Rev. 1:17, cf. Rev. 1:9, 10; Jn. 14:16-17)
II. Since the risen Christ comes to us to encourage us in times of tribulation, we ought to be strengthened with his resurrection power (Rev. 1:18; Jn. 16:33; 1 Cor. 15:51-57; John 5:25; 11:43; Rom. 8:2)
III. Since the risen Christ comes to us to encourage us in times of tribulation, we ought to be strengthened with his redemptive purpose (Rev. 1:19; Eph. 2:10)
