Introduction

• Fallen Condition Focus: Unfortunately, our pride blinds us to our need to continue to grow

         in the knowledge of God and his Son. We wrongly assume that we have arrived, that we know God and his Son Jesus Christ.

• Sermon Proposition: Since God has made himself known through his Son, we ought to come

          to know Jesus Christ and believe in him.

I. To know Jesus Christ, the Son of God, I must begin by admitting I don't fully know him yet (Jn. 1:26)

II. To know Jesus Christ, the Son of God, I must enter a process of knowing Jesus that involves listening, trusting, and obeying (Jn. 1:31-33)

III. To know Jesus Christ, the Son of God, I must take a faith step in obedience to God (Jn. 1:31)
