Introduction

• Fallen Condition Focus: Pride comes before a fall and prohibits us from entering Jerusalem with Christ.
• Sermon Proposition: Since Jesus invites us to come with him to Jerusalem, we ought to confess him as our king and walk with him in humility

I. Pride is a stumbling block on the road to Jerusalem (Prov. 16:18; Luke 19:39; cf. 9:46-48; 22:24)

II. Christ's humility is for our salvation (Luke 19:35-38; Phil. 2:5-11)
