The Parable of the Talents

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor so that you by his poverty might become rich.   2 Corinthians 8:9 (ESV)

Fallen Condition Focus: managing our money in fear; a spirituality of playing it safe 

Proposition Statement: Since the Lord gives his money to each of his servants according to their ability, we ought to be good stewards with God's property 

Main Point #1: Since the Lord gives to each of his servants according to their ability, we ought to trade the Lord's money in order to increase it.  

Main Point #2: Since the Lord gives to each of his servants according to their ability, we ought to not hide the money God has given us to trade with out of fear.

Main Point #3: Since the Lord gives to each of his servants according to their ability, we ought to remember that we will have to give an account for how we steward his money
