Fallen Condition Focus: There are counterfeits in life and religion that can deceive us. We are vulnerable to believing lies and accepting what is false, especially when it puffs up our pride, just as Adam and Eve did.
Sermon Proposition: Since Jesus has come as the true King, we ought to set our face to seek to know and love him alone

I. We ought to seek to know and love Jesus through the grace of the Spirit of God (Matt. 2:2; Jn. 16:13)

II. We ought to seek to know and love Jesus through the grace of his Word (Matt. 2:5-6; Lk. 24:27, 44; Acts 17:10-12)

III. We ought to seek to know and love Jesus face to face in worship (Matt. 2:11; Rom. 12:1, 2)
