The Incarnation of the Life"

Introduction
• Fallen Condition Focus: We will all pass away and this life will end. That is the fruit of our life of disobedience to God and his word. Death is the ultimate separation not only from the living, but from God and his goodness and mercy forever. We may not be facing physical death at the moment, but may be facing the death of something precious or someone we really love.
• Sermon Proposition: Since the Word of God is the Life in creation and redemption, we ought to believe in his name that we might live with God forever.
• Purpose: To call each of us to renewed faith in God's Word, Jesus Christ, so that we might live eternally with him and overcome the world.

I. Since the Word of God is the Life in creation and redemption, we ought to give thanks for the gift of life (Jn. 1:4; cf. Ps. 100:4)

II. Since the Word of God is the Life in creation and redemption, we ought to receive him that we might live with God forever. (Jn. 1:12; cf. Jn. 11:25, 26)

III. Since the Word of God is the Life in creation and redemption, we ought to believe in him and so overcome the world. (Jn. 1:12; Jn. 16:33; cf. Gal. 2:20; 2 Cor. 4:7-12; Rev. 1:17, 18)
