Our Pursing Shepherd

Introduction
• Fallen Condition Focus: We are prone to falling into despair focusing on the negative messages in our minds, spoken by friends or family, or our society and leaders. In our exile we are prone to forget God's covenant promises to us. In our trouble may choose to ignore God's promises and put our trust in ourselves or other shepherds to rescue us.
• Sermon Proposition: Since the Lord God is our shepherd who promises to rescue us, we ought to listen to His voice and trust in his promises
The Lord himself is our Shepherd so…
I. When leaders fail us…we must trust the Lord, our Shepherd, who promises to judge them (Ezek. 34:2-10)

II. When we are lost…we must trust the Lord, our Shepherd, who promises to bring us home (Ezek. 34:11-13a)

III. When we feel no one cares…we must trust the Lord, our Shepherd, who promises to meet our needs (Ezek. 34:13b-16)

IV. When we feel life is unfair…we must trust the Lord, our Shepherd, who promises to bring justice (Ezek. 34:17-22)

V. When we feel like we have no hope…we must trust in our Lord's covenant promises fulfilled in Jesus Christ (Ezek. 34:23-31)
