Introduction
Fallen Condition Focus: To go even deeper, we don't have room in our lives because of our selfish sin nature. We are so full of ourselves and our wants and desires, that Immanuel can't come and dwell in us. We are sinners in need of a Savior.
Sermon Proposition: Since Jesus Christ has come to us as Immanuel to dwell with us and in us, we ought to prepare him room in our lives
I. Since Jesus Christ has come to us as Immanuel to dwell with us and in us, we ought to prepare him room by confessing our sins (Matthew 1:21; 1 John 1:9)

II. Since Jesus Christ has come to us as Immanuel to dwell with us and in us, we ought to prepare him room by frequent and constant prayer (Matthew 1:20-21; 1 Thessalonians 5:17)

III. Since Jesus Christ has come to us as Immanuel to dwell with us and in us, we ought to prepare him room by obedience to his commands (Matthew 5:24-25; John 14:21)
