• Fallen Condition Focus: In the presence of a holy God, we realize that we are unclean and sinners in need of redemption and sanctification.
• Sermon Proposition: Sermon Proposition: Since we have been redeemed and made children of the holy God, let us strive for holiness in all our conduct.
• Purpose: To teach us about the holiness of God and call us to a pursuit of holiness in every area of our life

I. Do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance (1:14; cf. Rom. 12:2)

II. Conduct yourselves with fear throughout the time of your exile (1:17; 2 Cor. 7:1)

III. Cherish the precious blood of Christ with which you were ransomed (1:18-19; Eph. 1:7)
