God's Covenant of Grace
Introduction
• Fallen Condition Focus: The problem is that we are hesitant to trust God and believe in his covenant. We choose to go it alone and trust our own judgment and live our own lives apart from God.
• Sermon Proposition: Since the Lord God has made a covenant of grace with us, we ought to trust him fully with our very lives
• Purpose: To call us back to a living relationship with God through his covenant of grace in which we know him and his faithful love.
I. Since the Lord God has made a covenant of grace with us, we ought to trust his promises (Jer. 31:31-34; Heb. 6:13-20; 8:6; 10:23)
II. Since the Lord God has made a covenant of grace with us, we ought to trust his goodness (Ps. 100:5; Ex. 20:1; Jer. 31:31-34; Heb. 9:11-22, 26; 10:14-18)
III. Since the Lord God has made a covenant of grace with us, we ought to trust his care for us (Is. 43:1; Jer. 31:31-34; Rom. 14:7-8; Heb. 9:11-22; 13:5)
