Introduction

• Fallen Condition Focus: We as humans have divided hearts, hearts that are not whole and single in their devotion to God. They are hearts that are deceitful and sick as the prophet Jeremiah described them (Jer. 17:9). We are in need of a new heart (Ezek. 36:25-27) that is able to obey the Lord.
• Sermon Proposition: Since the Lord looks in to our hearts and judges us according to what is in our hearts, we ought to take care of our hearts cultivating a life of faithful whole-hearted devotion to our God.

III. Since the Lord looks at the heart, we ought to cultivate a heart of loyalty to God
