Introduction

Fallen Condition Focus: Not hearing, believing, and obeying the Word of God

Sermon Proposition: Since God has given us his life-giving truth in his Word, we ought to listen and believe in Christ.

Rom. 10:17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ. 

I. Since God has given us his life-giving truth in his Word, we ought to listen and believe in his teaching about heaven and hell. (vv.19-26)  

II. Since God has given us his life-giving truth in his Word, we ought to listen and believe in his message of salvation in Christ alone. (vv. 29-31)

III. Since God has given us his life-giving truth in his Word, we ought to listen and obey his command to love our neighbor as ourselves. (vv. 19-31)
